Hot Hot Heat are an indie-rock band from Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. They formed in 1999 as a synthpunk band with Matt Marnik, who eventually left the band, on lead vocals. Steve Bays (vocals and keyboards) took over lead vocals, significantly changing the band's sound. The rest of the band is currently composed of Paul Hawley (drums), Parker Bossley (bass), and Luke Paquin (guitar). Dungen (Swedish: "the grove", pronounced ['d???n]) is a Swedish rock band based in Stockholm. Often classified as psychedelic rock, Dungen is also influenced by Swedish (and other) folk music, classic rock, progressive rock and indie rock. Jesse Malin is a New York City-based singer-songwriter who started his performing career in the 1980s in the New York hardcore band Heart Attack. He was the original frontman for the 90's punk/hard rock band D Generation. After the band broke up in 1999, Malin continued writing songs. Malin's new songs displayed such influences as Paul Westerberg, Bruce Springsteen, and Neil Young. Bane is a hardcore band from Worcester, Massachusetts. They began as a side project between Aaron Dalbec (then of Converge) and Damon Bellardo. Aaron approached Matt Firestone to sing and they played under the moniker of Gateway for a few shows, before Firestone departed to focus on other projects. Panda Bear is the moniker of Noah Lennox, a founding member of Animal Collective who is also a member of Jane. Lennox grew up in the Roland Park section of Baltimore, Maryland. As a child, he played sports, studied piano and cello. He later sang tenor in his high school chamber choir. After graduation, he attended Boston University but dropped out in 2000 and moved to New York to dedicate himself to his music. Peelander-Z is a Japanese band currently in New York. The Band consists of three members: Peelander Yellow, the guitarist and lead singer, Peelander Red, the bassist, and Peelander Green, the drummer, who replaced Peelander Blue. There is also a Peelander Pink that helps out on stage sometimes. Peelander-Z is a "Japanese super-action comic band."
