Who we are
MissionTix is a child organization, owned and operated by Mission Media, LLC, located in Baltimore, Maryland. Any instance of "we," "us," or "MissionTix" used in this privacy statement refers to the MissionTix organization, as owned by Mission Media, LLC. Although the use of the name "MissionTix" is not interchangeable with the name "Mission Media," many aspects of MissionTix's operation are handled by Mission Media, LLC and will be referred to accordingly. Conversely, any and all following statements concerning MissionTix are also applicable to Mission Media, LLC. Any information collected through MissionTix may be shared amongst Mission Media, LLC and its various possessions, including but not limited to Mission Media and Mission Space. Such said information will be subject to the same privacy policies stated here.
Who we are not
As a ticket provider, MissionTix features many third-party entities on our website. These entities include but are not limited to companies, promoters, venues, vendors, artists, musicians, and other organizations named, pictured, or referenced on our site. This privacy statement does not apply to any communication or interaction you may have with any of the said entities, and MissionTix cannot be liable for any such occurrences.
What we collect from you
In the operation of our site, we do collect certain pieces of information about you. Some of this information is necessary to the transactions that occurr within the site; others are used to tailor and improve the site to create a continually better experience for you and other visitors to the site. Examples of this information include your name, telephone number, address, ticket preferences, IP address, etc. However, most of this information, especially sensitive details (e.g. passwords, credit card information) cannot be accessed by us unless you willingly provide the information. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
How we handle your information
To successfully complete certain transactions with you on the site, we use your contact information, and sometimes financial information, to ensure that you receive the services you requested. To do this, we sometimes need to share your information with our service providers such as credit card processors, and/or event providers such as the venues for which we sell tickets. In these cases, we require providers to enter into agreements with us that reflect the same privacy statements presented here. We or our providers may also need to contact you directly regarding your transactions with us. By using this site, you consent to any form of communication related to MissionTix provided for in this statement.
After you provide us with an email address during a transaction, we also use this email address to keep in touch with you about events and information that might interest you. Because we understand that not all of our customers like to receive the same amount of email promotions, we will always respect your right to refuse these emails by contacting us. However, even after you have notified us of your wish to not be emailed with updates, MissionTix and/or its providers still reserve the right to send you nonpromotional email to maintain MissionTix operation. If you wish to not divulge any of your personal contact information, you should contact event providers directly to ask about their alternatives for ticket purchasing.
Please note that MissionTix may also be required to share some or all of your information in circumstances beyond our control, such as for the purposes of law enforcement or protection of you and other users of the site. First and foremost, MissionTix must comply with the law. Your information may also be passed on in the event of a change of ownership or bankruptcy of MissionTix.
More on how we secure the privacy of your information
To increase the privacy and security of the information you pass on to us, we implement secure socket layer (SSL) technology to encrypt your contact, as well as financial information that you send through our site. Furthermore, your financial information is stored in our databases in encrypted form. But please note that not all websites provide this level of security to its visitors; just because we extend SSL capabilities, we cannot guarantee that those sites who link from or to us do the same.
We may share aggregated information about our Visitors, including the demographics of our Visitors and Authorized Customers, with our advertisers and third party vendors.
