The Maryland Wine Festival
Carroll County Farm Museum
Saturday, September 19 &
Sunday, September 20, 2015
Saturday - 10AM to 6PM
Sunday - 11AM to 6PM
New this year is the Explorer Pass, an upgraded ticket that allows guests access to three exclusive wine tents, serving some of the state's top award-winning and limited released wines. The 2015 festival also features a Maryland Cheese Pavilion highlighting Free State cheese, which will be open to all visitors.
Explorer Pass - The Explorer Pass is an upgraded ticket that includes General Admission samples PLUS offers sampling from three exclusive wine tents – all from a large, 16-oz tasting glass. The Explorer Pass allows guests to sample over 50 additional premium label wines and gain access to the Hilltop Hangout that has a shaded seating area, winemaker chats, bottled water and private bathrooms.
If you’re into the bold reds, crisp whites and pretty rosés from top Maryland producers loved by the critics, this is your opportunity to taste the best of the best.
Explorer Pass holders also participate in the third-annual Free State Throwdown -- a blind tasting of Maryland wines vs. wines from the wine region of the team the Ravens are playing the weekend of the festival. This year: Maryland vs. Oakland, California!
General Admission - Allows guests to sample wines from each of the more than 30 wineries present at the festival.
Designated Driver & Children - Free water available, no wine glass or samples. Those aged 13-20 are admitted for a discounted rate, and children 12 and under are admitted free if accompanied by a paying adult.
