He Is We is an indie pop band formed in Tacoma, WA. The duo consists of Rachel Taylor and Trevor Kelly. The band's first full length album, My Forever, was released November 2010. Their OLD DEMOS album can be downloaded at http://heiswe.bandcamp.com. They met while working at Ted Brown Music Company, a music store in their home town of Tacoma, Washington. While Ted Brown Music Company was where He is We was commenced, the duo disliked the genre of music it supported. They each realized that the other had talent and began to play small gigs....powered by Last.fm

First up: DJ ICEY & AK1200!!!
DJ ICEY (Breaks, FL Zone Records)
Originally named DJ Icee, he had to change his name because a local Orlando ice cream manufacturing company by the same name threatened to sue him. was born in Florida. Known for marrying the diverse strands of Chicago Hip house and English break-beat house, he rose to prominence DJing for the now defunct Orlando club The Edge, a position he held from 1991 to 1996. In 1993, he created his own label, Zone, named in honor of the UK labels O-Zone and D-Zone. In 2000, CMJ New Music Monthly described him as "an expert in funky, sped-up hip-hop", and by 2001, Billboard was listing him along with Crystal Method, DJ Micro and Überzone as "perennial figure in the burgeoning funky breaks underground...- DJ ICEY and AK1200

Formed in 1986 by acerbic front man Ben Weasel, Screeching Weasel immediately set out to provoke. In their early days the band was known as much for Weasel’s on-stage diatribes and battles with audience members as their music, but with the release of 1991’s My Brain Hurts they helped to usher in the pop-punk explosion, and have remained at the forefront of the genre ever since.
In a career punctuated by internal friction and break-ups, to say nothing of their run-ins with promoters, label owners, other musicians and the press, Screeching Weasel has inspired countless bands with their infectious, hook-laden songs; Blink-182 and the All-American Rejects cite Screeching Weasel as an influence and Green Day’s Mike Dirnt (who played on the band’s 1994 How To Make Enemies And Irritate People) sports a Weasel head tattoo on his arm.
Ben Weasel, the only remaining original member and the only constant amidst dozens of lineup changes, sums up the band’s notoriety by noting, “You...- Screeching Weasel

NEW ALBUM bundles from $7.99! Look for details in your confirmation email!
Mention folk music to the average listener and the list of usual suspects come to mind: Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Woodie Guthrie, etc. Talk to SOJA lead singer/guitarist Jacob Hemphill, however, and you'll walk away with a different perspective. "To me, Rage Against The Machine, Wu -Tang Clan, Sade, Johnny Cash, Bob Marley – they're all folk artists," he says. "There's no difference between Raekwon saying, 'I grew up on the crime side, the New York Times side, where staying alive was no jive,' to Bob Marley saying, 'Cold ground was my bed last night and rock was my pillow, too,' to Johnny Cash saying, 'I know I had it coming, I know I can't be free, but those people keep on moving (around) and that's what tortures me.' Folk is all about storytelling and passing on a legacy. It's timeless, it's limitless and it crosses all boundaries. That's what this band is striving for. It's a tall order," he...- SOJA

Formed in 2003, Dumpstaphunk was initially assembled by keyboardist Ivan Neville on a whim, to perform a solo slot at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. Ivan tastefully selected the unique double-bass attack of both Nick Daniels and Tony Hall on bass, enlisted his own bloodlines for the scorching guitar rhythms of cousin, Ian Neville, and most recently, added the newest member to the group, heavy-hitting female protégé Nikki Glaspie on drums, replacing original powerhouse Raymond Weber. The project has since grown from a chance side-project into what is now widely considered to be one of New Orleans' most prestigious modern funk ensembles. An offspring with a direct lineage to their fathers in The Meters and The Neville Brothers, Dumpstaphunk is a recipe for creating a new standard for an entire genre....
